On Thursday it was cultural day. Everyone was invited to dress in national costumes or bring in items from their culture they wanted to share. We are so lucky to have so many beautiful diverse students in our class!

St Mary MacKillop Feast Day
On Thursday it was the feast day of St Mary MacKillop. We attended mass and then did some fun craft activities with a buddy class. Room 3 buddied up with Room 5 and we made a Mary MacKillop statue and we created posters using some of her favourite quotes. Room 4 buddied up with Room 6 and they created an amazing mural about Mary MacKillop. Come into the breakout room in Room 4 to check it out. Here are some photos from our fun session.

Look how much we have learnt!
At the start of the term we wrote down everything we knew about water, and then we thought of some things we wanted to know..
This week we had a look back at our questions from the start of the term and we were able to answer them all!!
Everyone has been working so hard at home and at school this term it is great to see all of the hard work paying off.

Week 8
It has been another busy week this week! On Tuesday Ms Li brought some friends along for an extra special Mandarin lesson, we got to buddy up with room 5 and 6 to make some 'tang yuan' a sweet dumpling.
We are lucky enough to have a few Mandarin experts in our class who even helped to translate for everyone!
A visit to the church
On Thursday the Sheridan students took a walk around our parish as part of our new Church strand, we are learning all about what makes our parish special and all the people who work and belong to the Good Shepherd Parish.

Watercare Visit
Today we had Sally visit us from Watercare. She did some amazing things with us today. We acted out the water cycle in a drama session and then made a water cycle in a bag. The children will be bringing home their water cycle in a bag on Tuesday afternoon. They need to hang them up in a window so it gets lots of sun. Observe what is happening inside the bag.
