Print Making

Room 4 have been learning about print making. We chose a New Zealand native creature and drew it on paper. We then traced it onto polystyrene, put ink on it and made a print.

Book Character Parade

Today Good Shepherd School had a Book Character Parade. It was so much fun to see all the costumes of characters from our favourite books. Check us out! Can you tell what book we come from?

Giraffes Can't Dance

      Room 4 have read the book ‘Giraffes can’t dance’. 

      We talked about how we all have different talents we just have to discover them.

We also talked about how we may not be good at everything but we must look for things to motivate us.

     As Gerald said ‘we all can dance when we find the music that we love’.

     We created art based on the book. We were learning to use the paint brush to create different          effects.

     We used two different brush strokes in the background to paint the sky and grass. 

     

Holy Week

Holy Week is the last week of Lent, the time set aside to get ready for Easter. It is a special time because we remember some of the most important events in the life of Jesus: his last journey to Jerusalem, the last meal he shared with his friends, and his death on the cross.
Today Mrs Taylor took Room 4 to the church to look at the Stations of the Cross.

Swimming Carnival

This Thursday 13th of March the Junior School will take part in our Good Shepherd School Swimming Carnival. The children in Room 4 will swim between 9 and 11am in either competitive or non-competitive events. We have been practicing our skills on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. We look forward to seeing you there.
