Cricket Fun!

Today Room 4 got to learn and practice cricket skills. We focused on the correct way to catch a cricket ball.
It was fun!

Stepping Out

This week Room 4 have been lucky to have Constable Rob and Constable Jude in to teach us about Road Safety. We have learnt how to cross the road safely and how to use a booster seat and seat belt to keep us safe when riding in the car.

Come On Guys Get Firewise

On Monday firemen came to talk to Sheridan syndicate about fire safety. They gave us some important messages to remember around fire.

• Lighters and matches are tools not toys.
• If you hear your fire alarm go off shout 'Fire! Fire! Fire!'
• Get down, get low and get out FAST if you are in a fire.
• Arrange a meeting point for your family to make sure everyone is safe.
• Never go back into a fire

Print Making

Room 4 have been learning about print making. We chose a New Zealand native creature and drew it on paper. We then traced it onto polystyrene, put ink on it and made a print.

Term 3 Topic Aotearoa Weird and Wonderful Creatures

Check out our describe map we have done on the Tuatara. We used this map to write exciting descriptions.

We have also been learning to write reports. With a partner we chose a New Zealand Weird and Wonderful Creature to research and then we wrote a report about it.

For homework Room 4 have made box dioramas of a New Zealand Native animal or insect's habitat.

Ruby and Kacee presented theirs to the class today.
