Religious Education

For the rest of the term we will be covering the Jesus Strand for religious education. A copy of the family-whanau summary sheet was glued into the children's homework books this week. It shows all the objectives that will be covered this term. At the end of each major strand we will be sending the children's RE books home. There will be a space for parents to write a comment, regarding your child's learning in this area. This term we will also be covering Holy Week and Easter modules. Here is a copy of that document.

Tennis Monsters

For 4 weeks we will be receiving some tennis coaching once a week on a Monday morning. Simon is our teacher and he is lots of fun. We are learning how to hold a tennis racket and how to hit a forehand shot. We have been working with a partner and trying to hit the ball back to our partner. We are learning a lot about tennis!!! Check out our photos.

Shrove Tuesday

Welcome to Room 3 & 4's blog for 2018. During the year we will be posting photos and samples of our work, to show you all the amazing things that are happening in Room 3 & 4. This will be a combined blog for both classrooms.
On Tuesday 13 February it was Shrove Tuesday (also known as Pancake Day), the day before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. In Room 3 & 4 we learnt about the significance of Shrove Tuesday and why it's such an important day. Below are some photos of us making and eating pancakes.
On Ash Wednesday we went to Mass and got a cross of ash put on our foreheads, to help us remember what Lent is all about.
